Z•View is a programmer's utility for matching screen colors to RGBColor structures or index values. It allows you to point at a pixel on the screen and paste its color information directly into your code. It is also useful for selective screen capture either to disk or the clipboard.
Command Description:
File Menu:
“Save Picture...”
Saves the selected area of the screen in the popular 'PICT' file type.
Edit Menu:
“Copy Picture”
Places the selected area of the screen on the clipboard as a 'PICT'.
“Copy Color Info...”
Copies the RGB values of the selected pixel to the clipboard as text.
(i.e “{23452, 33421, 65515}”)
Zoom Menu:
“x to 1”
Changes the degree of magnification.
“Constant Update”
Toggles 'Constant Update' mode on and off. While ‘Constant Update’ is on, the
picture is updated every time the cursor moves. Otherwise, it is only updated
when you choose “Update.”
“Update”
Updates the window when ‘Constant Update’ mode is off.
“Flashing Cursor”
Toggles between a flashing cursor and a solid cursor.
The arrow keys move the selected pixel when ‘Constant Update’ mode is off.

Indexed color info is included when monitor is set to 256 colors or less.
The cursor's flash may be turned off.
Minor cosmetic bugs involving window's grow box have been fixed.
Z•View no longer invokes the debugger when you save a picture to a full disk.
